About Me
I have always loved cats and have had the joy of sharing my home with one or another at various points in my life, as well as cat-sitting for friends, neighbours and colleagues. It was when I brought home my beautiful Siberian boy in summer 2023 to join the family, and researching how to groom and care for his triple coat fur, that I discovered cat grooming as a "thing" and knew I had found my calling!
Working in high pressure Emergency Services for nearly 14 years, it was time to do something that had far less stress (and no night shifts!) With the support of my family I enrolled onto the iPET Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming and Salon Management, in partnership with the highly regarded Goldies Grooming Academy, and the idea for Purrs and Furrs Cat Grooming began.
This is the highest internationally recognised and regulated cat grooming, health and safety, and feline first aid qualification, requiring hundreds of hours practical and theory study and assessment. You can be the safe in the knowledge that your purring, furry friend will be receiving the best level of care with Purrs and Furrs.
I have also undertaken the iPET Microchip Implanter training course, which qualifies me to offer microchipping implant and registration services for owners and breeders, in the comfort of the cat or kittens own home.
