50% deposit is required at the time of booking your introductory grooming session to secure your appointment. In the case of cancellation or reschedule, this will be refunded or transferred to a new date only if more than 2 working days notice is given. E.g. a groom for 11:00 Monday requires notice by 11:00 Thursday prior.
For clients on grooming cycles, cancellation under 48hours notice will also incur a 50% of groom charge as schedules are carefully organised and your dedicated reserved appointment slot is not available to be offered to anyone else.
Balance of groom is due once services are completed prior to me leaving. This can by made by bank transfer, cash or card.
On the day cancellations, or should you or your cat not be available when I arrive the full groom cost is still payable due to me being unable to offer the appointment to any one else.
Services are tailored to each cat and their own unique personality to ensure safety for both the cat and myself.
Clients must advise of any behaviour and aggression issues during the initial booking process, and will be assessed on an individual basis.
Aggression includes but is not limited to:
Swatting/swiping
Hissing
Spitting
Growling
Teeth baring
Lunging
Biting
It is important to realise that if your cat is aggressive/reactive towards you/your family/guests/vets/other groomers, then they are not going to be docile and accommodating of me either.
It is also important to note, that cats that I’m told are happy and content with grooming, are unlikely to suddenly become aggressive.
If your cat does show significant aggression during a groom, I reserve the right to terminate the groom and the full groom fee will still be chargeable. Any attempt to bite will result in immediate stopping of the groom and full groom fee will be chargeable.
Whilst my aggression policy may appear strict, it is in place for not just your cat’s stress, but for my own safety. I’m sure all responsible owners agree it would be unacceptable to either knowingly place anyone at risk from an aggressive cat, or be expected to remain in a situation with one.
If your cat becomes too distressed during the groom, for their own welfare I reserve the right to terminate the groom before completion and the groom fee will still be charged.
Any health conditions of your cat must be advised at the time of booking.
Purrs and Furrs is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions or problems discovered during the groom. Should any conditions or problems be discovered you will be advised to contact your vet.
Purrs and Furrs will not be held liable for any accident or injury that may occur to a cat due to neglect of disclosure of information by the owner.
Purrs and Furrs will not be held liable for any accident or injury, unless negligence is proved.
If after assessment your cat is found to be very severely matted or pelted, I may suggest they are sedated and clipped at a vets, for their own comfort and stress levels. They can then enjoy happy and stress free maintenance grooms. If you're unsure please do send photos or videos and I can advise prior to the appointment to ensure that the cat receives most appropriate care.
All cats are required to be up to date on their flea and worming care and free from any parasites. Due to risk to myself and other cats, if these are discovered I will be unable to continue the groom. Your cat and their environment will need to be treated and clear of infestation before further grooming.
Groom fee and additional £15 deep cleaning of equipment fees will be chargeable.
At all times, the welfare of cats in the care of Purrs and Furrs will be paramount. The above terms and conditions cover the most likely circumstances however it is impossible to predict every scenario. I apply a common sense approach to each cat and groom, and ask of owners to do the same.
